PURPOSE:To prevent dropping of a long-sized object during running of a stacker crane and the vertical movement of an elevating load-carrying platform, by installing telescopic system safety fences at both sides of the elevating load- carrying platform of the stacker crane. CONSTITUTION:Endless conditions, cyclically driven by a driving gear for opening and closing, are mounted to opposite sides of an elevating load-carrying platform 2, telescopic system safety fences 7 and 8, in which fence stays 5 are coupled together through flexible lateral fences 6, are longitudinally and movably mounted to opposite sides of the elevating load-carrying platform 2. The side end at the intermediate part of the load-carrying platform in one safety fence 7 is coupled to one longitudinal-moving part 9 for one of the endless conditions 4, the side end at the intermediate part of the load-carrying platform in the other safety fence 8 is linked to the other longitudinal-moving part 10 for the other of the endless conditions, and a conveyor for conveyance is installed at the intermediate part of the elevating load-carrying platform 2. |
