<p>The packer is for forming a pack from a pre-cut and fold-creased blank in cardboard manually inserted by an operator, who then places the contents in it, folds the top cover down, and presses the filled pack forward for further transport. During this subsequent movement, one or more applicator heads apply adhesive to two opposite sides and pairs of rollers hold the cover down. Two side flaps are then folded down into contact with the adhesive and are held down by two parallel endless belts until the adhesive bond is secure after which the filled and sealed pack is pushed out. The unit is adjustable to handle different pack sizes.</p> |
