Controlled supply of a fuel which under ambient conditions is a gas or vapour (like LPG) to a combustion means, like an internal combustion engine. The example describes the application of the supply system to an Otto-engine provided with petrol injection and an electronic control unit (29) of standard type. A single LPG-injector (43) is applied, preferably serving more than one cylinder, injecting the fuel in liquid form into the combustion air downstream of the throttle valve (7). In a unit (40), housing the LPG-injector, also a pressure regulator (48) for the liquid fuel is incorporated. The control and energizing of the LPG-injector takes place in parallel and simultaneously with the petrol-injectors by the existing electronic control unit (29). At choice, the control unit may be adjusted to operate either the petrol-injector (15) or the LPG-injector (43), or both together, preferably the LPG as main fuel and the petrol in small dosage of 10 % or less.
