摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent the variation in printed density due to a change in load condition from becoming conspicuous, by gradually changing the operating time of pins used for printing after the printing condition is shifted from overload printing to light-load printing. CONSTITUTION:When a power source voltage VH reaches a value VAL, a voltage level detecting circuit 13 causes an ALARM signal to be transmitted to a main controlling part 3', generation of a timing pulse TPLS is stopped, the main controlling part 3' controls a printing data reading circuit 7'a so that data read from a line buffer 2 are printed in two time, using two pins at a time, and printing by the latter two pins is conducted after printing by the former two pins has proceeded to such a point as to complete printing a line. Next, the main controlling part 3' causes a counter 14 to generate a pin data setting (PDST) signal, thereby designating data in a ROM16 for pin drive data time, and the PDST signal causes a printing pin magnet drive time generator 17 to output a pin drive time (PNDVT) signal, thereby driving a pin corresponding to data stored in a printing data register 7b. Accordingly, the time width of the PNDVT signal is changed, and a smooth change in print density can be obtained.
