PURPOSE:To improve sensitivity, durability, etc., by adding a specified hydrazone compd. as a carrier transfer material to a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive layer formed on a conductive substrate contains a hydrazone deriv. represented by the general formula in which R1 is an optionally substd. aryl or heterocyclic group; R2 is H, or optionally substd. alkyl or aryl; X H, halogen, alkyl, substd. amino, or alkoxy; and n is 0 or 1. This deriv. is useful for a photoreceptor of a function separation type executing carrier generation and its transfer with each separate substance. It is superior in compatibility with a binder, and small in residual potential. When it is exposed to the visible light, it is subjected to sensitization treatment. |
