PURPOSE:To satisfy the requirements of a binder resin, such as solvent resistance, by using a crosslinkable linear cationic polymer resin having vinyl groups as the binder resin of an electrostatic charge generating material. CONSTITUTION:A charge generating material contains as a binder resin one of crosslinkable linear polymer resins having vinyl groups represented by the general formula, as shown on the right, in which R1, R2 is 1-4C monovalent alkyl residue, R3 is methyl or H, and X is halogen, such as chlorine. A polymerization initiator soluble in water or organic solvents is preferably added to the binder resin in order to facilitate cross-linking reaction. |
