PURPOSE:To satisfy the requirements of a binder, such as resistance to solvents, by adding a specified cationic polymer resin to an electrostatic charge generating layer. CONSTITUTION:A charge generating agent contains a cationic polymer resin represented by the general formula, as shown on the right, in which R1 is H, methyl, R2 is H, halogen, vinyl, methyl, ethyl, nitro, aldehyde, or hydroxy, and X(-) is a halogen ion. An amt. of this resin to be added to the charge generating material is preferably 10-95pts.wt. |
