PURPOSE:To enable to reduce the number of electric signal wires between a carriage and a stationary electric element by electrically commonly connecting a charge detector which detects the injected ink particles from each nozzle on the carriage. CONSTITUTION:A print control unit 35 made of a microcomputer or the like receives a command from a printer control unit and recording information, thereby controlling printing systems 1-4 which include recording heads. A shielding plate 24 which operates also as charge detecting electrode of assembling heads is commonly connected through diodes D1-D4 on the carriage and connected via a shielded wire to the changeover switch SWL of the stationary section. One switching point is grounded, other switching contact is connected to a charge detector 27, and inputted through a data selector 42 to each print control unit 1. In this manner, the number of signal wires between the carriage and the electric elements of the stationary section can be reduced. |
