<p>The controller of movement of dosage pistons and supply tubes during filling of receiving vessels, notably moulded bottles, is programmed to prevent frothing of liquid. The movements of the dosage piston and a supply tube are synchronised through two threaded rods, with the drives for each rod controlled by an electronic all electronically programmable computer. Reduction gearing is used between DC drive motors and the threaded rods. Multiple filling units may be simultaneously controlled, with the computer regulating piston and supply lead movement to maintain flow rates to suit a changing surface diameter as the bottle fills to prevent frothing of the liquid in the bottle.</p> |
