<p>PURPOSE:To decrease arithmetic steps and to generate a pattern signal at a high speed by storing the function value of a updated point in a register and using this as arithmetic data in a next cycle to decide on a next point to be updated. CONSTITUTION:When two possible points are selected, information on them from a control circuit 6 is stored in a flag register F. Information showing which of registers G1 and G2 the function value f<alpha> of a point f(x,y) calculated in a precedent cycle and being displayed is stored in sent out of the control circuit 6 to the flag register 10. On the bias of those pieces of flag information, a calculating device 7 calculates an X-directional or Y-directional increment. The absolute values of arithmetic results are compared with each other to select a next point. Consequently, the singnal for showing the register where the function value f<alpha> of the current updated point is sent from the control circuit 6 to the flag register G.</p> |
