PURPOSE:To perform a grinding work with high precision and efficiency by releasing the grindstone mount of a tool grinding machine quickly from its stationary position by means of a lock pin combined with a rotary solenoid so as to move the grindstone mount back and forth and fix it at a new position. CONSTITUTION:When a handle 23 is operated in an arrow (i) direction, a rotary solenoid 26 is energized and rotated by a limit switch 32, the rack of a lock pin 27 is engaged with a gear, the lock pin 27 is extracted from a coupling section 28 provided on the side surface of a base plate 24, thus releasing a lock. If the handle 23 is rotated in a direction from the front to the rear of the paper under this condition, a rotating shaft 31 is rotated in one body with the handle 23, the grindstone mount 24 is pressed by the roller 35 of a rotating lever 34 to slide on the base plate and is stopped by stoppers 29, 30. If the handle 23 is released at this position, the solenoid 26 is energized to be rotated in the reverse direction as soon as a limit switch 33 is released, the lock pin 27 is controlled so as to be coupled with the coupling section 28 a distance (l) apart, thus a grindstone 5 fixed to the grindstone mount 24 is fixed at a fixed position. |
