PURPOSE:To obtain the inexpensive, very safe stopping device, in the printer cover which can be opened and closed freely, by forming stopping pawls and engaging holes which are provided in an upper cover and a front cover so as to form the unitary body with each cover. CONSTITUTION:The printer cover is fixed to the main body of a printer and comprises the upper cover 1, which covers a rear part from a platen 3 and a front frame part, and the front cover 2, which covers a part from the platen 3 to the front frame part. The front cover 2 has a hinge part 2a and can be opened and closed by moving the front end part up and down. The elastic stopping pawls 8 are formed in the upper cover 1 so as to form a unitary body. The engaging holes 7, with which the stopping pawls 8 are engaged, are provided on the front end surface of the front cover 2, and the engaging device for the front cover 2 is constituted. Rubber pieces 9 are provided in the vicinity of the stopping pawls 8 in order to reduce the shock when the covers are closed. |
