PURPOSE:To generate long pseudo-random numbers having less deviation, by detecting the position of an element having variation due to radiation within a specific time. CONSTITUTION:Alpha rays 2 are entered into one bit of a 64,000-bit RAM3. When all bits of the RAM3 are set to ''0'' initially, only the bit where the alpha rays 2 are entered is in a ''1'' state. In one millisecond, about 9 bits are set to ''1'' at random. In every millisecond, a decoder 4 detect addresses of bits of the RAM3 set to ''1'' and those of bits which are still in a ''0'' state. On the basis of the output of the decoder 4, a logical circuit 5 set digit positions corresponding to the addresses of the ''1'' bits in binary notation among 64,000 digits to ''1''. Further, digit positions corresponding to the addresses of the bits which are still ''0'' are set to ''0''. Then, all the bits of the RAM are set to ''0'' again to generate a binary pseudo-random number string 6 consisting of 64,000 digits in every millisecond. |
