PURPOSE:To enable the transaction of a commodity in accordance with the information at the point of time of selling by performing reading of the bar code and weighing of the commodity placed on the weighing pan of a weighing machine through the transparent part of the weighing pan simultaneously and processing said information arithmetically. CONSTITUTION:The weighing value of the commodity placed on the weighing pan 5 of a weighing machine 1 is fed to a control part 3 by a weighing machine 11, and the bar code 7 illuminated by the light from a light source of a bar code reader 2 via a reflecting mirror 9 and the transparent part 10 of the pan 5 are read with the reader 2, the data whereof is fed to the part 3. The part 3 performs calculation in accordance with the data and the information stored therein and displays the results thereof on a display. Thus, the transaction of the commodity according to the information at the point of the time of selling is made possible. |
