发明名称 MANUFACTURE OF LOW PRESSURE MERCURY VAPOR DISCHARGE LAMP
摘要 PURPOSE:To enable the injection of predetermined amount of mercury by dripping the mercury particles exceeding over predetermined encapsulating amount through an exhaust tube into an insulating tube then cooling the specific surface while exhausting to condense predetermined amount of mercury on the inner wall face and chipping off. CONSTITUTION:In a 40W fluorescent lamp, when the lower tube wall temperature is 300 30 deg.C 40mg of mercury is dripped through a discharge tube into a lamp while when the tube wall temperature is 200 25 deg.C the air (A) is blown while exhausting through a nozzle having the diameter of 10X5mm. with the flow rate of 401/min. to locally cool the outside wall of said tube 1. 10min later the exhaust tube is chipped off. Consequently no mercury will remain in the lamp after chip off, but only the stain of mercury will remain at the locally cooled section. The mount of mercury encapsulated in the lamp will be 8-15mg to achieve highly accurate encapsulation. The nozzle 2 is located at the height H= 100mm. from the lower end face of said tube 1 while the distance D=300mm. from the side face.
