<p>Bag has two plastics walls impermeable to gases and liquids and sealed together peripherally, with an inlet through the rear wall surrounded externally by a non-occlusive microporous fixing flange with an adhesive layer on its rear surface. An impervious mounting ring overlies the flange around the opening and carries a layer for adhering to the patient's skin. The flange is pref. of spun-bonded polymer which is non-occlusive and microporous, or is of a tissue, and the adhesive layer on the ring is of hydrophilic polymer. The ring is pref. secured to the bag by a radio-frequency weld which overlaps the flange, and has an opening smaller than that in the flange but larger than that in the outer adhesive.</p> |
