The shock absorber is for a wear component of elastomer material in a rotating bark drum, and extends parallel to the drum rotation axis between its feed-in and feed-out apertures. The absorber comprises a vulcanised strip (6) of plastics, steel or other metal which acts as a shock reinforcement on each wear component. The absorber surface turned towards the wear component has the same cross-section arc form as the latter. The absorber has side parts which are on opposite sides of the wear component longitudinal central plane. These side parts are connected to each other by beams vulcanised in the wear component. |
