<p>The stopper - pouring spout is used to transfer liq. into containers with difficult access, being designed for ease of moulding in plastics. It comprises a tubular spout (5) mounted on a collar (1), the spout incorporating a channel (9) defined by one or more full length longitudinal ribs (7), whilst the collar airtightly connects to the neck of a can. The channel may locate a pressure compensating air pipe (11) which is a nominal friction fit, being formed by two converging ribs, by two 'V' shaped folds in the spout walls, or by a single curved rib. A capillary or a semi-capillary space may provide for communication between the channel and the inside of the spout, the end of the spout having a stepped notch (12) on the line of the channel.</p> |
