DISTANCE AMPLITUDE CORRECTION CIRCUIT

PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy while facilitating the handling by correcting the amplitude of a distance signal by ultrasonic flaw inspection selectively accessing a plurality of ROMs or P-ROMs for memorizing different distance amplitude characteristics. CONSTITUTION:P-ROMs 1-n in which different distance amplitude characteristics are memorized are selected through a control logic 28 in response to the operation of a memory select switch 31, either of start switches 32 for oscillation synchronization or for surface wave cycle or the like. The ROMs 1-n selected are accessed through an address driver 29 controlled by a clock at a selected cycle with the logic 28 to correct the amplitude of a distance signal during the ultrasonic flaw inspection as outputted from a D/A converter 33 according to the distance amplitude characteristics read out of the ROMs 1-n. This method of selectively using the plurality of erasable P-ROMs or the like to handle the distance amplitude characteristics facilitates the handling and improves the accuracy.
