<p>The tobacco drying shed is of a prefabricated sectional construction, using modular panels in the walls (1), the roof (3,3') and the floor (2,2'). The panels are of a modular width and fit together, the joints between panels being staggered by pref. half the modular width e.g. in the horizontal direction. Rigid end frames (6) define front and rear openings (7), whilst assuring the stability of the structure, the capacity being varied by adding or removing side wall panels together with roof and floor panels. The frames may be of a rigid tube (8) construction and may be bolted or glued to modular cladding panels. Wall panels may be fitted with horizontal rails for the support of tobacco hanging frames, being connected by tongue and groove joints reinforced by housed rail connectors.</p> |
