<p>The method and device are for insertion of paper rolls in rotary presses. A slotted (11) tube (10) is fitted on the press frame along the paths which the paper will follow during printing. In the tube is inserted a paper conductor comprising a pliant plastics rod or hose (12) of limited length, on which are fitted short components with ridges and tracks (15,14). These components act as gears for driving the paper conductor forward. The paper track end is fixed to the conductor by a fitment which projects through the slot. The forward drive is by a motor located on the tube and provided with at least one gearwheel which engages the ridged and tracked components.</p> |
