PURPOSE:To perform the (n)-multiplexing of an (m)-kind multiple-wire signal from a data terminal for an interface with a transmission line, and to reconvert the (n)-multiplexed information from the transmission line to the (m)-kind multiple-wire signal. CONSTITUTION:An NRZ signal from a data terminal DTE is passed through an interface circuit INT1 and sampled at many points byI-phase sampling pulses of anI-phase sampling circuit SAMPphi1 to obtain a sampled signal A, and a control signal received from the data terminal DTE is passed through the interface circuit INT and sampled at many points by II-phase sampling pulses of a II- phase sampling circuits SAMPphi2 to obtain a sampled signal B. Both sampled signals A and B are multiplexed by an AND gate G to obtain a signal (7), which is sent out from a line driver LD to the data circuit terminating equipment OCU in an exchange through the transmission line. A signal sent from the OCU, on the other hand, is received by a line receiver LR and a timing extracting circuit extracts the phi1 and phi2. |
