The gas generator, especially a wood gas generator, has a double jacket (1,2), whose gap takes up the gas stream generated, and a gasification air feed (4) which is fixed to the inner jacket (1). In order to ensure that, in spite of large differences in expansion between the inner and outer jackets (1,2) in the region of the gasification air feed (4), the joint is such that neither air can penetrate into the gas-filled gap of the double jacket nor gas into the gasification air feed (4), the gasification air feed (4) is connected gas-tight via a flexible metal hose (10) to the outer jacket (2). |
