PURPOSE:To interrupt air into the flare stack from a molecular seal, and to prevent the generation of the detonating gas completely by supplying an inert gas onto the molecular seal in the flare stack at the speed of a volume decreasing rate or more in a flare line generated by the variation of the temperature and pressure of atmospheric air. CONSTITUTION:In the flare stack 4, which is connected to the flare line 1 and the inside thereof is provided with the molecular seal 2 and an upper end section thereof is further provided with a pilot burner 3, a fuel supply pipe 5 to the pilot burner 3 is branched by a branch pipe 6, and fuel branched is introduced into an inactively gasifying device 7, burnt by a burner together with air 8 for combustion, and inactivated. The inert gas is cooled by a cooler 9, and introduced onto the molecular seal 2 of the flare stack 4 through a piping 10. Accordingly, since the inert gas generated by one part of fuel used in the pilot burner 3 covers the upper section of the molecular seal 2, the intrusion of air into the flare stack 4 and the flare line 1 from the molecular seal 2 can be prevented completely, thus completely obviating the generation of the dotonating gas. |
