PURPOSE:To enable replacement of a shim plate easily, by making use of a groove provided on a transaxle casing supporting a casing of a differential gear, in a titled unified final speed change gear of an automatic speed change gear for a lateral mounting type engine. CONSTITUTION:A bearing 28 supporting a casing 22 of a differential gear 20 is mounted on a semicircular bearing cap 40 fixed to a transaxle casing 16 with a bolt 38 attachably and detachably in a radius direction and a bearing part (C) of a bearing to be formed by the casing 16. An annular shim plate 30 for pre-load and adjusting of a bearing is inserted between the bearing 28 and the casing 16 through a gap between the casing 16 and the bearing cap 40 attachably and detachably in the radius direction, and to replace the shim plate 30 it is replaced with a new one by pulling out the shim plate 30 by piercing a tool into a groove 42 provided on the casing 16 without pulling out bearings 26 and 28 mounted on the bearing part of the bearing.
