The invention relates to a door and window frame, intended in particular for a motor vehicle, with frame parts on which the edge of the window pane rests and with a window pane guide. The core of the invention resides in the fact that the frame parts have a channel, that a guide strip for a slide element arranged on the window pane is provided in the channel of at least one frame part, and that the guide strip has a guide face with partial faces which guide the sliding element in different planes.
