摘要 An arrangement for determining the distance of a missile (FK) from a ground station (BS) is presented. The distance is measured using the method of measuring the time difference of laser pulses travelling between the ground system (BS) and the missile (FK). For this purpose, a timer ( DELTA t) is activated in the ground station (BS) at the same time that the laser pulse (IBS) is emitted out by the ground station (BS). The pulse (IBS) received in the missile (FK) causes a transmitter (10) in the missile (FK) to output a pulse (IFK). The pulse (IFK) emitted by the missile (FK) is received by the ground station (BS) and is supplied to the timer ( DELTA t) for determining the distance. The time difference between the pulse (IBS) sent out and the received pulse (IFK) is a direct measure of the instantaneous distance between the ground station (BS) and the missile (FK). <IMAGE>
