PURPOSE:To make easier the excavation of trench as well as raise the resistance to soil pressure by connecting adjacent sheet piles in the longitudinal direction in such a way as to differentiate their joining positions. CONSTITUTION:A guide frame 1 is set in a trench and fixed by a spindle 2 as a tension, and lower sheet piles 18a of a different lengths are set in a guide space 7 and penetrated into the ground. When the upper end of the shortest lower sheet pile 18a is settled to the guide frame 1 by excavation of the trench, an upper sheet pile 18b is connected to the upper part of the sheet pile 18a by means of a connecting metal 16 to form a panel P of different joint positions and the inside of the trench is further excavated. Thus, since the joint positions are different, the weak points are not aligned in a row and therefore, the strength of the trench can be maintained. |
