The invention relates to an outlet and filter arrangement for intercepting emissions on devices for the production of large workpieces, especially for casting machines. In this arrangement having a very large cross-sectional suction-extraction surface, the disposition of an outer and an inner outlet hood results in a high flow rate along this interspace for a relatively low blower capacity. It is thereby possible to divert the light and gaseous emissions in the region of the workpiece with a low outlet flow and to extract the heavy solid particles by suction at the edge between the outer and the inner outlet hood at a high outlet speed and correspondingly accelerate them for further transfer. With this measure, moreover, an undesirable pronounced cooling of the inner space of the outlet hood in the region of the workpiece produced is avoided.
