Method for moulding a plastic sole on a lasted-on shoe shaft with insole or intermediate sole projecting beyond the shoe shaft. The shaft, in a finished state with an insole or intermediate sole, is inserted into a mould, which corresponds to the plastic sole, with a conically outwardly opening lead-in and, adjoining this, a sealing lip for support of the insole or intermediate sole. The lead-in is automatically aligned, by pressure, on the last, the edge of the insole or intermediate sole and thus the shaft in the region of the transition from the lead-in to the sealing lip and brings about a seal of the sealing lip in relation to the insole or intermediate sole, and the plastic material subsequently fills the mould cavity.
