PURPOSE:To improve the effect of double wheels by jointing the air chamber of double tyres fitted to a rim in parallel. CONSTITUTION:The air chambers 8, 8 of tyres fitted to a rim 3 is jointed by a joint-means 9 connected to the fitting parts 6, 6 of the rim 3. Consequently, if air is charged into one tyre from a filling valve 10, the air is sent to the air chamber of another tyre by way of the joint-member 9, and airchambers 8, 8 are filled under equal pressure. When the surface condition of a road is varied, and the contact conditions of both tyres with ground are changed, air is moved from the tyre of a strong contact side to the tyre of a weak contact side whereby the tyre of a weak contact side is expanded and the tyre of a storong contact side is contracted, and then both tyres 7, 7 have same contact condition and are always effective. Thus, the effect of the double tyres may be sufficienly displayed. |
