The invention relates to an apparatus for welding a plastic tube section to a plastic fitting by the heated-tool method, having two carriers, adjustable with respect to each other on a frame by means of a setting device, and having receiving elements, attached to the carriers, for the plastic tube section and the plastic fitting, in which arrangement the receiving element for the plastic tube section is designed as a clamping element which encloses the plastic tube section and firmly holds it axially undisplaceably. In order that the plastic fitting is not deformed in the connecting region during fixing, it is provided according to the invention that the receiving element for the plastic fitting is designed as a guide element, which only aligns the plastic fitting axially with respect to the plastic tube section fixed in the clamping element and that, on the side of the guide element facing away from the clamping element, there is attached to the assigned carrier at least one adjustable stop, which supports the plastic fitting axially undisplaceably. |
