PURPOSE:To enhance operatability of a starting knob, by a method wherein projected parts are provided respectively on both of end faces of a starting knob and a wire guide, and the end face on each side is provided also with a recess capable of receiving the projected part provided on the other side. CONSTITUTION:When the starting knob 29 is drawn back, without rotating about on its axis, from a draw-out condition wherein the recess 31B of the knob 29 is faced to the projected part 22A of the wire guide 21, the projected part on each side 22A, 31A is smoothly into the recess 31B, 22B of the other side. When the projected parts 31A, 22A of the starting knob 29 and the wire guide 21 collide against each other, each of them is relatively rotated while being guided by a curved surface of the other under the action of a returning force of a recoil starter, the projected part 22A, 31A on each side is received into the recess 31B, 22B on the other side, and is stabilized in an engaged condition. |
