Restoring spring for orthodontic appliances, especially activators, comprising a clamp embracing the tooth distally from the inside toward the outside, the inner end of which clamp is anchored in the appliance, in which the clamp is formed by a double loop from a loop whose end is anchored in the appliance and a restoring loop extending closely adjacent and parallel thereto and the free end of which rests unanchored against the surface of the appliance or is supported against the latter.
