发明名称 CONTINUOUS MANUFACTURE OF GAS DIFFUSION ELECTRODE FOR BATTERY
摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce man power, facilitate mass production of electrodes, and uniform and stabilize quality by applying automated belt conveyor line system in each process of thin plate formation from slurry containing catalyst powder, drying, sintering, and cooling. CONSTITUTION:A belt conveyor consists of stainless steel, and a supply apparatus is fixed on the belt with a supporting rod 17 and a spring 18. Slurry is pushed out on the belt conveyor from the hole of the supply apparatus 16, then spreaded in desired thickness with a doctor blade 22. The slurry is dried with a drying room 24, and moved to a belt conveyor 26. A sintering furnace 28 is consisted of resistance heater. Inactive gas such as nitrogen is flowed in a cooling room 29 to assist cooling and to prevent deterioration of ''Teflon'' and catalyst. A thin plate is sintered, and cooled, then winded onto a roll 31. Gas diffusion electrodes for a battery are manufactured those process. These processes are operated automatically and continuously after setting conditions.
