An installation is proposed which is used for conveying a medium acting as an electrolyte, especially fuel, from a tank to an internal-combustion engine. The conveyor installation is provided with an electric drive motor through which the medium flows. The conventional fuels, having an electrical conductivity in the picoSiemens range do not cause any problems in such an electric motor. However, the alcoholic fuels (M15, M100, E100 etc.) which have been coming into the foreground more strongly in recent times, have an electrical conductivity in the microSiemens range, so that they behave like an electrolyte. In this case, especially the live, exposed conductors on the positive side of the motor operating circuit, such as the commutator, the braided cable leading from the positive terminal to a brush etc. can be attacked and eroded. However, metal components such as the brush guide, brush compression spring, motor housing and magnetic return path ring, which are wetted by the medium to be conveyed and are arranged close to the exposed conductors, are also continuously attacked and suffer damage. The components of the conveyor installation, consisting of the motor and pump, which are wetted by the conveyed medium are therefore constructed to be resistant to the medium, at least on their surfaces facing the medium. <IMAGE>
