<p>An elastic article (101) for use in the construction of a mattress is made up of a number of elongate strip elements (A,B,C,H) arranged side-by-side. Each element is made up of a series of closed pockets housing a spring. The spacing of the elements and/or the properties of said springs is such that the properties of elastic resilience of the article vary across its width so that it is most yielding at the centre.</p> |
