PURPOSE:To easily cut even a material in which a reinforcing cord is filled at a tilt angle to an axis line of a material, by a method wherein a part, where a reinforcing cord-filled material having flexibility is cut, by a cutter in a manner to float it from a belt conveyor surface. CONSTITUTION:Vacuum heads 41-a and 41-b, having an adjustable section section, are moved downward in a direction of a material 90 conveyed by a given distance by a conveyor 40 for conveying the material, and the heads suck the part, being cut, of the material 90 to float it upward. A space 70 is provided between the belt conveyor 40 for conveying the material and the material 90, cutters 16-a and 16-b, brought to a standby above the part, being cut, of the matrial 90, are moved downward to cut the material 90 in directions extending to both sides from the center thereof along a cord 90a, which results in cutting the material 90 without cutting of the cord 90a. The moving direction of the cutter is brought to match the direction of the cord aligned in the material. |
