PURPOSE:To prevent the fact that the circumferential face, etc. of a photoreceptor are not damaged by attaching and detaching operations of a charger, by constituting the charger so that the charger of a charging device and its supporting body are rocked with respect to the circumferential face of the photosensitive body, and are opened and closed. CONSTITUTION:As for a charging device, when a member 212 is rocked counterclockwise by depressing a handle 215 formed as one body on the belly part of an opening and closing member 212, a coil spring 214 is expanded against its elastic force, and in a state that a roller 213 is brought into contact with the upper face of the bottom plate of a copying machine body, said device is inverted in the energizing direction of elastic force of the spring 214 against the member 212, and the member 212 stands still elastically. On the other hand, as the member 21s is rocked, the front part of a supporting plate 201 descends in follow-up to a descent of the roller 213. When the front part of the supporting plate 201 descends, a charger supporting body 200 is rocked counterclockwise around the rocking supporting shaft, and a charger 100 is released with respect to the circumferential face 1a of a photoreceptor. Accordingly, even if sheet jam is generated, the charger 100 is released in the direction separating from the circumferential face 1a, therefore, a jam sheet can be removed without damaging the circumferential face 1a, etc. |
