摘要 PURPOSE:To enable soft start and soft stop to be carried out by making the turning direction of a speed change cam rotated by a controller in reverse to the direction in which the cam is turned in the feedback sequence via an output shaft, a decelerating means and a friction clutch. CONSTITUTION:Since a frictional engagement point of a speed change ring 4 to a conical rotor 3, with an output shaft 2 running at a low speed, stands within an area where the conical roller 3 has a long effective radius, the output shaft 2 generates a high load torque at a low speed and is able to endure it. A control handle 11 is turned to disengage a friction clutch 10 and to turn the speed change ring 4 right so as to turn the output shaft 2. The turning direction of the speed change cam 5, determined by the control handle 11, is selected to the direction in reverse to that of the rotation in a feedback sequence which is generated when a return spring 14 shifts the friction clutch 10 into the engagement position in response to the detaching of a hand from the speed change handle 11. When the hand is detached from the speed change handle 11, the speed change cam 5 is returned to the illustrated condition and the output shaft 2 is then stopped.
