PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration in the electrophotographic characteristics of an electrophotographic receptor having a charge generating layer and a charge transferring layer due to irradiated ultraviolet rays, by adding a thiazolidone compound to the charge transferring layer. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive layer having a laminated structure consisting of a charge generating layer contg. a charge generating substance and a charge transferring layer contg. a charge transferring substance is formed on a substrate having an electrically conductive layer of Al, Cu or the like, and about 50-0.1wt% thiazolidone compound is added to the charge transferring layer as an ultraviolet absorber to obtain the desired electrophotographic receptor. A compound represented by formulaI(where R is H, alkyl, aryl, aralkyl or azomethine; Q is a bivalent nonmetallic atom or imino; Z is a group represented by formula II, III; and each of R2 and R3 is H, 1-18C alkyl, aryl or the like) is preferably used as the thiazolidone compound, and it is concretely represented by formula IV, V. |
