PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration in the electrophotographic characteristics of an electrophotographic receptor having a charge generating layer and a charge transferring layer due to irradiated ultraviolet rays, by adding a benzophenone compound to the charge transferring layer. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive layer having a laminated structure consisting of a charge generating layer and a charge transferring layer is formed on a substrate having an electrically conductive layer of Al, Cu or the like, and about 50-0.1wt% benzophenone compound is added to the charge transferring layer as an ultraviolet absorber to obtain the desired electrophotographic receptor. A compound represented by formulaI(where each of R1-R4 is H, halogen, nitro, hydroxy, alkyl, allyl, alkoxy or aryloxy) is preferably used as the benzophenone compound, and it is concretely represented by formula II, III, IV. |
