PURPOSE:To reduce inserting resistance of a coil, by a method wherein coil end is formed in radial direction of a stator core and at the same time it is expanded and formed in the direction perpendicular to the radial direction along the slot. CONSTITUTION:If a taper cone is advanced, a slider 11 is radially slided in arrow (I) direction and along a dovetail groove of a holder 10. Then a pair of expanded pieces 12(a), 12(b) are moved in the same direction as that of the slider 11, i.e. in arrow (I) direction, thereby a coil end 2(a) is expanded outwards. If the taper cone 7 is further moved, the expanding pieces 12(a), 12(b) are contacted to top end of a wedge 14 and expanded and moved in the direction perpendicular to the moving direction of the slider 11 and in opposite direction to each other, that is, in arrow (II direction and (III) direction. Therefore the coil end 2(a) is moved in arrow (II) direction and (III) direction. |
