PURPOSE:To obtain a printer having a simplified structure and being made small-sized by a constitution wherein a balancer for absorbing the vibration of a printing hammer bank is guided and supported on the same axis with that of guide shafts for guiding and supporting the printing hammer bank shaking from side to side. CONSTITUTION:In a dot impact type line printer wherein a printing hammer bank 6 having a number of printing hammers arranged in the direction of the width of printing paper is shaken in printing in the direction of the width thereof along guide shafts 7 and 7', a balancer 9 for absorbing the vibration of the printing hammer bank is fitted slidably on the guide shafts 7 and 7' whereon the printing hammer bank 6 is fitted slidably, and the printing hammer bank 6 and the balancer 9 are connected elastically to each other by springs 10 and 10', etc. When the printing hammer bank 6 is made to shake on the guide shaft 7 by an eccentric cam 13, the balancer 9 connected to the bank by the springs 10 and 10' is shaken from side to side in the reverse phase to the printing hammer bank 6, and thereby the vibration of the bank 6 is absorbed. |
