PURPOSE:To discriminate an effective copying range easily and exactly, and to place an original at an adequate position, by providing a display plate showing the effective copying range in accordance with size of a designated recording material, right under an original placing plate. CONSTITUTION:Right under an original placing plate, a copying range display oplate 30 consisting of an acrylic plate is provided. On the surface of the display plate 30, slender grooves 32-35 for showing an effective copying range of each size such as B5, A4, B4 and A3 are cut, in accordance of which illuminating lamps 36-38, 39-41, 42-44 and 45-47 having directivity are provided. When size of a recording material is designated by the operating part and the original sheet cover is opened, the groove of size corresponding to the recording material is illuminated, therefore, a user places an original so as to match this groove. When the original sheet cover is closed, the illumination is turned off. Therefore, the original can be placed at an adequate position easily. |
