PURPOSE:To manufacture photographic polyolefin coated paper (support) having superior shelf stability and almost protected from fogging by blending a water soluble iodine compound into a wood pulp-containing sheet. CONSTITUTION:About 10<-4>-10<-1>wt% of a water soluble iodine compound such as potassium iodide or calcium iodide is blended into a wood pulp-base sheet having a basis wt. of about 50-250g/m<2> and high surface smoothness, and a (co)polymer of alpha-olefin such as ethylene or propylene is extrusion-coated onto the sheet to form an about 5-50mu thick coating layer. Thus, a photographic support is manufactured. |
