1. A method of analysing output signal sequences (SA, SB) of an incremental position pick-up having two signal channels (A, B) in which occur two output pulse sequences (SA, SB) which are displaced in phase in dependence upon the direction of movement of the position pick-up, and with a counting circuit (7) which is connected to the output end of the position pick-up and which counts the positive and negative flanks of the output pulaes, and that in dependence upon the state of the particular other signal channel (A, B) in the forwards or the backwards direction, using an interference gating out circuit which is connected to the input end of the counting circuit (7), characterised in that whenever a signal change occurs in a signal channel (A, B), the interference gating-out circuit blocks a signal change in the other signal channel (A, B) for a length of time which is greater than the maximum likely duration of an interference pulse. |
