PURPOSE:To prevent the multiplex reflection of incident light and to enhance adhesive strength by using a support having 500- 10,000Angstrom surface roughness and a light scattering effect. CONSTITUTION:The surface roughness of the metallic drum 1 of an electrophotographic receptor is regulated to 500- 10,000Angstrom , preferably 800- 5,000Angstrom . In case of < 500Angstrom , the drum has inferior adhesive strength. In case of > 10,000Angstrom , the drum has a satisfactory effect of preventing the multiplex reflection of light but has inferior adhesive strength and causes deterioration of image quality. The surface of the metallic drum 1 is worked by any method as far as the roughness is within the proper value. The numerical value of the surface roughness is the distance from a center line 3 shown in the figure to each protrusion and each recess. In the figure, 2 is a photoconductive layer. |
