PURPOSE:To simplify the input of Chinese characters, by generating the codes corresponding to keys through a character board containing an array of keys for left-hand radicals, right-hand radicals, crown parts, foot parts, etc. of Chinese characters respectively and then combining those codes. CONSTITUTION:A Chinese character input board 1 contains an array of input keys for left-hand radicals, right-hand radicals, crown parts, foot parts, etc. of Chinese characters and keys for marks, numeric characters, etc. A code corresponding to each key is generated from a code generating circuit 2, and these codes are combined by a processor 3 to produce Chinese characters. These Chinese characters are displayed at a display part 4. For instance, when ''KANJI (Chinese character)'' is fed, ''SANZUI'' and ''left-hand radical of KAN'' are fed to the left-hand and right-hand radicals, respectively. Then ''UKANMURI'' and ''KO'' are fed to the crown and foot parts, respectively. In such a way, it is easy to feed all Chinese characters with a small number of keys. |
