PURPOSE:To maintain a good drainage capability enjoyable over longer period and free from any affect by carbon deposits and the like in exhaust, by providing a drainage means in an expanding chamber in such a manner that the drainage means is curved downwardly in an intermediate portion inside the chamber. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust which flowed from an exhaust inlet side tube 3A into an equipment body 6 further flows in an expanding chamber 10 via a through port 7A defined in a baffle plate 7, and is guided into a cylindrical member 15 after passage through a circumferential clearance between the cylindrical member 15 and an exhaust outlet side tube 3B. Then, the exhaust is let to flow into the exhaust outlet side tube 3B once again and wherefrom it flows out to outside the equipment body 6. A moisture drop dewed in an exhaust piping of an engine side is separated from gaseus ingredients and accumulated on a base wall portion 6A, because there takes place a velocity reduction in a gaseous flow including the gaseous ingredients and the moisture drops during its flow from the exhaust inlet side tube 3A into the expanding chamber 10. Drainage is finally effected to a suitable location through a drain port 13A and a drain pipe 13B. |
